Kitchen Coaching

When brought in as a kitchen coach, my goal is to impart a wealth of functional cooking knowledge, without creating overwhelm. We will have an intake session where I learn about your goals and needs. I draw from the fundamentals of Ayurvedic cooking, my restaurant experience, as well as my own journey learning to how to cook to heal my body. We will create a plan together and set up sessions as often as needed, where learning to cook wholesome meals becomes a ritual, not a source of stress. In Ayurvedic teaching it is thought that whatever you are feeling when you are eating is the emotion that you feed. Let me help you to stop feeding your anxiety.

I sift through the excess of information about food and how to be "healthy" and teach only what is helpful and approachable, with no prescriptive attitudes toward food. If you are newly managing a restricted diet or struggling to cook quick meals that actually feel good in your body, I can help. Maybe a food feels good one day and doesn't the next, or you suddenly react to a familiar food. It can be disheartening to eat something you're told is "healthy" and not feel good afterwards. Drawing on the science of food as well as ancient food preparation practices, I hope to share preparation techniques and food combinations that make food both delicious and easy to digest.
